Famous for her gorgeous curves, this star knows how to budge those last stubborn kilos in a hurry!
Katherine Heigl has had to lose and gain a lot of weight in her acting career, so the Grey's Anatomy goddess knows how to downsize her diet with spectacular results.
Katherine first needed to drop 4.5kg for the romantic comedy
Knocked Up. But this year she had to bulk up again to bare her curvy bottom in the soon-to-be-released movie,
The Ugly Truth.
Curves are natural for Katherine, who once proclaimed, "I hate dieting. I hate the whole thing!"
The only real diet she has embraced is Harley Pasternak's 5-Factor Diet, which is all about low-fat, high-fibre, small and frequent meals. "She uses the diet several times a year, for two-month spells, to get in shape for public events," says a source close to the star.
"Katherine always follows a sensible and sound approach to eating having anywhere between four and seven small meals a day, drinking antioxidant tea instead of coffee, and limiting herself to one glass of wine at dinner, if she drinks alcohol at all."
Katherine's five second fat-buster
Katherine does ab exercises during her weekly manicure-pedicure appointment sucking in her belly, holding it for five seconds, breathing out and then repeating. Try this when you're watching television, doing the dishes, or sitting at traffic lights. Or why not set a repeat reminder note on your mobile three times a day?
Sleep yourself slim
New research shows that sleeping yourself slim is the best way to get ahead in the weight war, with people who sleep less than four hours a night having a 73 per cent greater chance of obesity than those who sleep for the recommended time of seven to nine hours. And even five-hour sleepers are 50 per cent more likely to gain weight.
