Just after her daughter was born, Jessica Simpson announced she had signed on to be the face of Weight Watchers in the US in an effort to shed her baby weight.
The 32-year-old, who gave birth to baby Maxwell Drew on May 1, says that like most new mothers, she’s finding it a challenge to lose those extra kilos.
“My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel,” she said in an interview with USA Today.
“I'm just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiancé and herself.”

While she is determined to shed the baby weight, Jessica also wants to show her fans it can be done in a healthy way.
And although she says she is losing some weight thanks to her Weight Watchers program, exercising is a challenge because “my boobs are way too big to run at this point”.
“I let myself indulge in everything I wanted because it was the first time I was ever pregnant, and I wanted to enjoy it,” she explains of her substantial weight gain.
“I didn't know [the weight] didn’t all come off with the baby.”
Jessica has not divulged her current weight, nor how much she weighed during her pregnancy, but is set to reveal her weight loss on Katie Couric's new talk show, Katie, on September 10.
