Cameron Diaz
We can't all afford personal trainers or chefs, but there are still plenty of tips we can pick up from celebs. Check out some of their secrets for keeping slim and sexy.

Halle Berry's golden rules

Diabetic Halle Berry avoids refined sugar, preferring to eat natural sugars found in fruits and vegies. She has a few other golden rules which help her look amazing and keep healthy.

The former Bond girl is very strict about cutting out all fried foods. She also prefers to eat at home when she can, to control portion size and fat content.

Finally, Halle never eats after 7pm. This is a fab diet tip, as there's nothing worse than going to bed on a full stomach. Eat earlier and you’ll get a chance to burn off your meal before getting your beauty sleep.

Cameron Diaz's cock-a-doodle-doo

Cameron Diaz is lucky to have a fast metabolism and a passion for high-energy sports like surfing and skiing. But she still has to watch what she eats, especially now she's in her thirties.

The lanky actress likes to start her day with protein, in the form of chicken. It may sound strange to those of us who get going with cereal or toast, but chicken — skinless and cooked in the right way — is low in fat and high in protein.

Also, eating a good breakfast can rev up your metabolism for the whole day and help you avoid those mid-morning snack attacks.

Like the sound of it? Here's a chicken treat you can prepare the night before ...

Chicken in a parcel
65-100g lean chicken breast
Squeeze lemon juice
Fresh herbs, chopped
1 tablespoon capers
Green beans

Wrap chicken, juice, herbs and capers in a foil parcel and bake for 20 minutes at 190C. Serve with beans.

Claudia Schiffer's fruit fix

Model mum Claudia Schiffer begins her day with lots of fruit. She also likes to eat her main meal at lunchtime, eating a light dinner with plenty of steamed vegies.

Here are some ideas for tasty fruit treats. Add low-fat yoghurt or ice cream for a calcium boost if you like.

Toasted pineapple
Grill a few slices of fresh pineapple. The natural sugars will caramelise, and you'll be left with a sweet sensation. Eat it on its own, or flavour with a few drops of fresh orange or lemon juice, or a sprinkling of fresh chopped mint or basil.

Baked banana
As the weather cools down, it's nice to fill yourself up with a warming treat. Simply place a pierced banana on a baking tray and pop it in an oven preheated to 180C. Bake for 15 minutes or until skin goes black. Then simply cut along the banana, remove the skin and serve with some low-fat ice cream.

Melon surprise
½ melon of any variety
50g raspberries
50g seedless grapes
Juice of ½ an orange

Remove the seeds from the centre of the melon (then slice if desired), add raspberries and grapes and sprinkle with the orange juice. Serve.

Celeb workout tips

Claudia Schiffer exercises her upper arms by going clay pigeon-shooting.
Robbie Williams keeps trim and toned with regular kickboxing sessions and Sunday morning soccer matches.
Sandra Bullock is an avid rock climber. It's a great sport for toning and strengthening the whole body.
Cameron Diaz keeps fit with martial art Wing Chun. It strengthens the arms, waist and shoulders, and is particularly good for toning hips and abs.
David Beckham keeps his bod hot by ditching three big meals a day for six snacks.
Naomi Campbell boxes to relieve tension and tone up.
Catherine Zeta-Jones keeps fit by playing golf.
Jennifer Aniston runs in water for 15 minutes to get a great low-impact workout.
Sarah Jessica Parker walks, rollerblades and cycles around New York.
Dannii Minogue always takes the stairs over a lift.

Celeb eating out tips

The rich and famous seem to spend all their time eating out at fancy restaurants, and yet they always manage to look great. What are their secrets?

  1. Don't overdo the bread. Try not to fill up on bread, olive oil and butter before your meal arrives. You could even ask them to take it away from the table.
  2. Easy on the alcohol. Alcohol is a diet saboteur. Try to limit your intake by drinking wine spritzers, or just sit on a glass or two for the night.
  3. Don't go to a restaurant absolutely starving or you'll end up having a blow-out. Instead, try eating a snack before you go out — like half a tub of yoghurt or some almonds.

Yes the type of cancer was one of the least lethal but none the less she had cancer attacking her body. she had chemo, i've watched some of my closest friends on chemo and it is always so horrific. She has pushed past that and made brilliant songs. Her music is heartfelt. She sis so beautiful and in her flim clips she dresses with dignity and respect unlike other artist who just let everything hang out and sing about sex, drugs and alcohol. She was put on the voice because she is ment to be there the people who run the show chose her. don't like it ? simple don't watch it. If you don't like her as an artist fine, don't buy her albums. She is human and she has feelings, give the woman a break.Cathh.Ann, QLD, Gold Coast27 CommentsPost commentView comments

She had 2 girls from her marriage, however I had none. We are now married and have a son of our own, I love him in a way I don't think I could ever love the girls, I feel guilty saying it, but I think it's built in me, almost primitively. I love the girls, I will always protect them and do what is right for them, but there is a difference. My wife has noticed it, and apparently so do the girls. The difference between my situation and the original writer is........I came from an abusive step-mother relationship, both mental and physical and although I feel I can't be the perfect step-dad, I will never do to those girls what was done to me.Spot On, brisbane18 CommentsPost commentView comments Darren Hayes dishes: I know the real DeltaDarren Hayes dishes: I know the real DeltaI love her !!wiz, melbourne16 CommentsPost commentView comments Grant and Candice: Why they splitGrant and Candice: Why they splitGive the guy a break!
