Miley Cyrus will tell anyone within cooee that her hunky fiance Liam Hemsworth is her true love and her number-one priority. But sadly for her, it seems he has other ideas. When the 23-year-old Aussie wrapped Catching Fire, the second instalment of The Hunger Games trilogy and the most important film of his blossoming career, he was desperate for a little R&R.

But his idea of a break wasn’t to whisk his bride-to-be off for a romantic escape. Instead, he planned to meet up with his brothers Chris and Luke and dad Craig in Costa Rica for some sun, sand, surf and male bonding.

Far from letting boys be boys, sources tell Woman’s Day the 20-year-old pop princess insisted Liam take her with him for the five-day getaway, telling him she couldn’t bear being apart from him, even for just a long weekend. And before the boys knew it, Miley and her motley crew of pet dogs were boarding the plane as well.

“This trip was very important to Liam, because he’s been working 16 hours a day, seven days a week filming, and he is absolutely shattered,” our source says. “This was supposed to be a chance to recharge his batteries, but it seems Miley has turned this into a whole bunch of drama. “Miley has always put a lot of pressure on Liam and he describes their relationship as intense,” our source explains. “She pushed hard for them to get engaged, and Liam thought that if he proposed, Miley would feel more secure about their relationship and he might get some room to breathe.”
