The pair, who began dating in last month, were recently spotted together at the week-long Art Basel festival in Miami, where Demi has been letting her hair down and playing it up for photographers. But it seems all the attention was too much for Vito.

"Vito wasn’t too happy that Demi flew down to party at Art Basel while he was working to build his business. It was a distraction he didn’t need while all the big collectors were in town,” a source told The New York Post.

Just days before their split, 50-year-old Demi was photographed partying at the Chanel Beachside BBQ with partying with Lenny Kravitz and George Clooney’s girlfriend Stacy Keibler , held at Miami’s Soho Beach House.

“Vito has worked very hard to be taken seriously in the art business, and doesn’t want to be seen as somebody who dates celebrities," says the source.

"He hated having photographers follow him around after word got out about him and Demi.”

Although Vito was also at the Chanel party, the pair avoided being photographed together.

Demi’s partying has once again worried her three young daughters.

“Rumer, Tallulah and Scout are mortified by their mother at the moment. They are becoming ever increasingly concerned about her bizarre and outlandish behaviour,” a source told The Examiner.

“Demi just seems absolutely desperate for attention and they fear that she isn’t in a good place mentally right now.”
