Bec and Lleyton Hewitt’s little girl has stars in her eyes.

Her mother made her foray into the world of showbusiness at the tender age of five, when she starred in her first TV commercial. And now Mia Hewitt is already showing signs of being quite the little performer – just like her former Home and Away star mum, Bec.

The gorgeous seven-year-old, along with her siblings Cruz, who turns 4 on December 11, and Ava, 2, are likely to have cameo roles in their tennis champion dad Lleyton’s latest TV commercial, for Swisse health bars. Producers of the ad, shot recently in Melbourne, will soon make the call on whether the youngest Hewitts will make their TV debut in the commercial.

It seems this would be a dream come true for Mia, with proud dad Lleyton admitting his eldest child has showbiz in her blood. “My daughter is already following in my wife’s footsteps,” Lleyton, 31, revealed during a recent appearance on TV’s The Project. “She’s the actress and the entertainer. She wants to be in all the drama programs already.”

Cruz, on the other hand, is “obsessed with sports and is Lleyton’s little shadow”, according to 29-year-old Bec. Either way, Lleyton – who was ranked world No.1 at just 20 – made it clear he’d never hold back any of his kids from achieving their dreams. “If they’ve got that passion for life, you can always go back and do school at different times,” he said on The Project.

Perhaps people should just focus on themselves instead of worrying about a couple and their children, who they dont know the first thing about.
Cute kids. Obnoxious parents. Now that Laylay has crashed out of the Open again, we'll be seeing another item about Bec's angst being his wife. Maybe they should settle in one place, get the kids into good schools, behave like parents rather than egomaniacs and focus on their best assets (children) ~ and then, in 10 years when it's 'whatever happened to...' time, THEN we can hear them blah blah about their 'talents'. In the meantime, let the kids be kids. Every family has the clown, every family has the athlete, every family has the clone... Let them be normal, let them not emulate their star-chasing hasbeen parents.
Following on from my previous comment. The Jackson Family realise that Prince, Paris and Blanket need to do their schooling properly and then when they're older they can make the decision if they want to continue with acting, sport etc more intensively. As I mentioned I think it's great that Mia and Cruz want to follow in their parents footsteps but their schooling needs to come first and the spotlight comes second. I'm not saying they shouldn't pursue their dreams while they're young but it's important to have the correct balance.
I think it's great that Bec and Lleyton are encouraging their children to be what they want to be and I fully understand that everyone has their own views and ways of raising their children but I personally don't agree with Lleyton on this. “If they’ve got that passion for life, you can always go back and do school at different times,” he said on The Project". He does have a point somewhat but I think an education needs to come first and a career in the spotlight second. Not the other way around. There are heaps more prestigious families in the world who have decided to put the children's education first and all the glitz and glamour second. Look at the Jackson Family. Both Prince and Paris have expressed the desire to have some sort of career in entertainment. Paris has dabbled a bit in acting recently and Prince has expressed desires to work in film production but they haven't really done anything ground breaking as yet because the family knows you need to do your schooling
