For the first time, the very private actress opens up about all the topics that have previously been off limits.

Nicole Kidman has climbed the A-list higher than many actresses would dare to dream, and has a blockbuster career that has won her millions of fans from around the world. Yet nothing intrigues people more than her fascinating – and mysterious – personal life.

It’s something the 45-year-old mum-of-four has kept close to her chest, until now. In a candid interview, Nicole has finally lifted the lid on much-speculated, never-confirmed details about her life, including her marriage with ex-husband Tom Cruise and her struggle to have children.

Now happily married to country rocker Keith Urban, Nicole made no secret of the fact that she was relieved when she divorced devout Scientologist Tom in 2001, famously cheering as she left the California divorce office. “I got married really fast and really young. But I don’t regret that because it got me [adopted children] Bella and Connor, and I did have a fantastic marriage for a long period,” Nicole tells Who magazine.

She doesn’t hide the fact that the split threw her life into turmoil. “I had to dig deep and fight my way through the depression,” the actress reveals. Nicole understands the plight of Tom’s next wife, Katie Holmes, who sensationally filed for divorce earlier this year, but she brushes off any suggestion of involvement in their split.

And Tom has commented about Nicole in the press. Don't you remember his "Nicole knows what she did"? Yeah, now we all know that what she did was rejecting Scientology. The rumors about her having affairs were entirely made up by the Church of Scientology. They were never any proof of her cheating. Nothing. You really should read the Vanity Fair article, it explains how Scientology operates with its enemies, planting false stories about them to hurt their reputations. Also, you think making a funny comment about Tom's height is bad? How about Tom turning their children against Nicole? How about him telling the kids that their mother is a "sociopath"? And how about saying on national television (Oprah) that he has "never been that much in love before" when he had been dating Katie Holmes for what? 5 months? How nice for his ex-wives and for the mother of his two children. But, according to you,Tommy Cruise is so fragile, so pure, so innocent...Bwahaha...
Suzie,you're right. Tom Cruise was married to Mimi Rogers when he did everything he could to get Nicole Kidman in his next movie,"Days of Thunder". Because he had fallen in love with her after seeing her in "Dead Calm".He said so himself.How nice for Mimi Rogers, huh?What a good, faithful man Tom Cruise is. But Mimi later said she didn't care because their mariage was over long before that. She also said that Tom wasn't that much interested in sex. Well Nicole pretty much confirms it now. And by now, everybody knows that Tom divorced Nicole because of Scientology. Oh and he's the one who cheated at the end of the mariage. I always love it when Tom Cruise fans pretend they forgot about Penelope Cruz and how she and Tom started dating. Remember that awful film, "Vanilla Sky"? The director of the film, Cameron Crowe, confirmed that Tom and Penelope were very, very close during the shoot. It was at the end of the year 2000, when Tom was still married to Nicole. Again, what a good man he is
Who cares?Nicole is full of rubbish and herself. Just look at her and she said she has not had work and never had botox!!!!! Where did all the freckles go? Nicole also had work done there...the same work as Michael Jackson, skin bleaching.

Suzie how do you know what is printed in the paper is true.? Just don't beleive what you read in the paper. It is Toms 3rd divorce so obviously he is difficult to live with. Just saying.
Honestly, why do Aussie mags support Nicole blindly and rubbish Tom Cruise so mercilessly? I do not know either of them but have followed stories about them since they got together. She is always shown to be an innocent victim of controlling Tom. She says all sorts of contradictory rubbish yet she is never questioned. If she is so happy with Keith Urban, why is she always making damaging comments about Tom where she sounds pretty bitter! She has poked fun at his height ,yet married to a man who is not tall and has said in the press that she and Keith have "dangerous sex". Who is she trying to kid? She is obviously not happy and fulfilled if she keeps trying to convince us all about what an amazing time she is having with Keith yet makes such negative comments about Tom. Also, wasn't Tom married when she began her affair with him? Could it be that Tom divorced her because of her affairs? He has never commented about Nicole in the press yet she has taken more than a few swipes at him!
