Jen's wedding nightmare
“She and Justin both desperately want to elope to a private paradise and avoid the spotlight of another lavish Hollywood mega wedding. They know that if they have a big, glitzy, LA showbiz wedding, everyone will constantly compare it to Brad and Angelina’s upcoming wedding – and that is obviously the last thing Jen wants.

What should be the happiest day of the actress's life is being ruined by a heartbreaking family dilemma.

For most brides, planning their big day is a happy time – but not for Jennifer Aniston, whose upcoming wedding to Justin Theroux is shaping up to be one big headache. Any thoughts the couple may have had of eloping to a secret overseas location have had to be shelved due to a heartbreaking family situation that has left Jen in floods of tears – and her dream wedding in jeopardy.

Jen is faced with the unenviable dilemma of having to choose between the wedding she wants and the wishes of her ailing mother, Nancy Dow, who is desperate to be front-and-centre on Jen’s big day. Estranged for years, Jen only reconciled with her 76-year-old mum recently and wants to keep her happy. So, any plans of running off with Justin have had to be put firmly on the backburner. “Jen is caught in a nightmare situation,” says a friend, who has known the 43-year-old rom-com star for 12 years.

“Her wedding to Brad was an enormous fairytale production, with movie stars everywhere and a million-dollar fireworks display. This time she just wants to escape somewhere really private with Justin... just the two of them.”

But this is proving to be easier said than done. Jen’s father, Days Of Our Lives star John Aniston, 79, has given his blessing for the couple to “slip away quietly”, saying he’s content not to walk her down the aisle this time. Jen’s mum, however, long-divorced from John, is far from happy. “Nancy went into hysterics and kept saying, ‘Not again, not again...I can’t miss you getting married again!’” says the friend.

Here we go again "poor jen, poor jen" when did her mother say any of this, her mother has had a stroke the only photo of Nancy is with a carer at the hospital getting out of a cab with a walking frame. The woman lives in a two bedroom unit so try a bit of poor Nancy myself I don't buy any reconciliation just that her publicist wanted some press about her so blame the mother she didn't talk to for years or invite to her first wedding.
Wedding "Jennifer's Wedding"" I don't think I have read so many dilemmas about one single wedding Hollywood or not. Prior to setting the date they were on and off and now the wedding plans are not go smoothely. Is this telling Jen that she should take a good look at the whole idea of marrying a man who tells her to ""grow old gracefully"" in a place that adores beauty and glamour, Jen adores these things and already has not let herself go untouched by anti aging procedures. I feel they have had so much adversity before the wedding day that it is not surprising the actual wedding now has problems. Jen take a look at all the hiccups you have had and just add this latest one onto the list, no one should have to go through everything you have gone through to get married and have children, I wish you the best wishes and choices.
Her mother needs to back off it is not her wedding it is Jen and Justin's. If they want to do the private thing on an island than mother just needs to deal with it.
I am getting sick of hearing about "Poor Jen".
Loads of people have destination weddings where they just fly a handful of guests to an island or wherever. Why would it be any harder for them? Just invite the parents and siblings and fly them to an island, have a small casual ceromony and then enjoy a holiday together. There has to be somewhere her mother can safely travel to.
Jen's mother's behaviour is obviously indicative why her daughter estranged herself from her mother in the first place. Jen...put her back in her place and carry on with your wedding plans it's your wedding not your mother's.
I can understand the point that Jen's mother is trying to make. Imagine missing your daughters first wedding and then being told that you're gonna miss the second one as well. A wedding is about sharing that moment with family and friends. I don't believe that it is an attention seeking thing, but more a wanting to celebrate with her daughter at her wedding. I think that is what every Mum dreams of.
How selfish is this woman - this is not her wedding. I know Jen wants to do the right thing but the right thing for her is to have the wedding the way she wants it. She and her mother were obviously estranged for a reason - maybe it should be that way again if this woman keeps up her antics.
Is it only me who is thinking that Jen's mother wants to not just be front and centre but front and centre of attention. It is your daughter's day not yours and if she wants to elope then she should elope. A party can be had later to celebrate the nuptials.
