The Aussie actress is devastated as ex-husband Tom Cruise chooses a Scientology prodigy for their teenage daughter’s first love.

The controversial religion almost cost her everything. But more than a decade after her devastating divorce from Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman thought she’d finally escaped the clutches of Scientology. Having re-embraced her Catholicism and started a whole new family, Nicole had found happiness leading the simple life on a Nashville farm with Aussie husband Keith Urban and their gorgeous girls, Sunday Rose, 3, and one-year-old Faith Margaret.

However, last week Nicole was dealt a fresh blow when her and Tom’s daughter Isabella debuted her boyfriend, Eddie Frencher, a junior Scientologist who Woman’s Day can reveal has been hailed as a “prophet” within the organisation. Insiders tell us the young lovebirds are “very serious” about each other – and, in shocking news, Tom and the mysterious Scientologist elders are encouraging the couple to marry so they can be installed as future leaders of the cult.

“Nicole is absolutely beside herself,” reveals a close family friend who regularly spends time with the actress and her mum Janelle. “What should have been a heart-warming tale of her daughter’s first love has turned sour. Nicole can only look on helplessly as the relationship ties Bella deeper and deeper into Scientology. She desperately wants her little girl to have a normal life and had secretly hoped her daughter would rebel against whatever weird master plan was made for her.

“But it’s almost as if Bella’s under the Scientology spell, much like Nicole was during her marriage, and Nic can’t help but feel it’s a case of history repeating itself.” Adding to Nicole’s horror is a complete sense of helplessness.

Its a shame there are so many misconceptions about Scientology. Perhaps some want it that way. I have been in it for may years on and get annoyed by the stuff written about it. The media like to sell their magazines by creating controversy about the religion and the celebs that belong to it. One also wonders if vested interests who want to put Scientology out of business because of its genuine stance against pharmaceutical drugging of kids and abuse of human rights might be financing some of these attacks. Scientology is about spiritual awareness. Something that I feel this society is short of. Especially when a society seems to be rife with magazines full of gosip based not nessecarily on fact but what someone thinks people want to hear. Good luck to the happy couple and if it doesnt work out then good luck to both of them anyway. Stan

Gosh, Candy, I am so sorry you don't come from a world where people aren't big enough to think larger than the word bitter. I have fully explained myself. You aren't reading correctly. I watch Ms Kidman's films. I enjoy her work. That is not what I said. You need to comprehend one's point of view. It is against the normal cloth for a person who is high profile to be thought of as a god, when they are not a god. Because I make a comment that is not applauding her background, I'm considered odd, even though Julia contradicted herself completely and you couldn't see that. You do not know the first thing about Nicole Kidman. Honey, people move on and move on and move on. Ms Kidman is the person that has ventured to look into other people's lives and not leave people alone. Half of Hollywood would agree with all of my comments, because they know Nicole. So, she's not to be criticized, but I am? I moved on, but she kept coming. You can't deal with it!
hey Anonymus. I have to agree that you sound very bitter and jealous of Nicole's success. I am not a fan of Nicole nor do I agree with some of the choices she has made in life. Not my business. However good on her for making it big in the movie world. Whether you are a former friend, lover,colleague of ms Kidman we do not know but if after 20 years you are still mentioning the past it means something is eating away at you. If you cant let go then seek professional help. Otherwise do not post such "Bitter"comments.
Julia honey, I moved on twenty years ago to new and better things. It's people like Ms Kidman who couldn't stand the idea. Thank you very much for lack of comprehension, and your obvious obsession with Ms Kidman. Oh my gosh, the fans are the worse. Ha. Ms Kidman is never satisfied with what she's got and none of us (we who moved on) need her stalking our every move, thanks. On that note, if she'd been mentally stable, she wouldn't be doing that and nor would she have become a Scientologist (your limited intelligence contradicts that point). I had actually been looking up something else when I came across this article, dear. So, as to your bitter comment, grow up and grow on, fan! If you knew anything about Ms Kidman, fan, you wouldn't be writing what you did, and if you knew anything about me and who I am, you wouldn't either.

I don't know the relationship Ms Kidman has with her first two kids either, however, I know how difficult it is being away from a child. That marriage was destined to fail. It had nothing do with Scientology. Ms Kidman should think her daughter lucky she isn't like she was at her age, and is being raised with good moral values. Her daughter really is the virgin bride whether it be with this young man or another. Her daughter, I'm assuming, is drug-free as Ms Kidman wasn't. It is more than likely these two young people are not going to marry. It is probably just a sweet first love or even just friendship, that doesn't need manic thoughts from others. A person wrote in their comment that Scientology is for mentally unstable people. Ms Kidman has been mentally unstable since she were in her late teens, from memory. She manipulated everyone. She monopolised roles for other Australian actresses for twenty years until their numbers got too big for her. I was her first victim.
Sei of Sydney. Scientology is not a religion, it is a cult. Hopefully one day you will wake up from the brianwashing you have had and save yourself. Scientology is just as bad as being a druggie as it takes over your life. Save yourself the way Nicole did. Hopefully one day she will save her children from this cult and their weirdo father.
I find it really sad to continue to read false things about my religion - Scientology. The friend of Bella Cruise is just a young happy man. He is not the next prophet. Our religion doesn't have prophets of any kind, so it wasn't a Scientologist who provided this information or is just someone making things up to cause trouble. The unfortunate thing is some readers believe this bizarre claims and it results in discrimination and intolerance and hurts me and my family. Scientology really helps me life a more happier and ethical life and gives me tools to help other stay drug free and improve relationships and happiness in general.
The members are taught they are aliens from a different planet, based on Sci-fi stories by Ron Hubbard.Having met a memebr of this cult years ago I saw how it affected her life.She ended up commiting suicide yet none of scientologists did anything despite her frequent cries for help to them.Also through my job i have met several ex-members who are going through problems, financial,medical,unable to work through stress put on them by family who are still members.Only the Celebrity stars make the headlines & seem to have charmed lives.Normal people don't earn $25 million plus per movie!. I don't belong to any religious church,group etc.
