Demi Moore announces divorce
After attempting to repair her marriage, Demi Moore has announced she is divorcing her husband of six years, Ashton Kutcher.

In a statement to Associated Press the 49- year-old said it was with a “heavy heart” that she announced the news.

“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton," she said in the statement.

"As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life."

The pair’s marriage fell apart after claims that Ashton cheated on his wife with 22-year-old Sara Leal.

Ashton quickly followed his estranged wife’s statement by tweeting: "I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi."

He then took to his Chime.in page and wrote: "Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and light, AK."

To be honest Ashton always seemed to be another child in her life. He has'nt had to grow up or take responsibility. Time for Ashton to be an accountable adult, don't think he has it in him, his tv serious suits his nature, couldn't be more closer to the truth. Very sad for Demi, although she has her loving children that will look protect and help her through this.
Demi and Ashton had an open marriage. Ashton was caught cheating and Demi has a history of cheating too. Watch this space as both their PR campaigns ramp up to point the blame at each other. They did seem to be happy early on in the relationship.
Wow, what a sad thing for AK to say - I personally find being married the easiest thing in the world. Hubby and I never fight and we get on great - we're best friends, and actually enjoy spending time together all the time. We married later in life, our mid-30s, so maybe we were more established and had gotten our single lives out of our systems. I wouldn't have married him if I thought it was going to be "one of the most difficult things in the world". But then I guess I'm lucky that I married my soulmate and that I did not enter into the decision lightly, as a lot of Hollywood couples seem to do. This is No 3 failed marriage for Demi. Will these Hollywood people ever learn? If I was a Hollywood celebrity, I just wouldn't bother ever getting married.
