Miranda Kerr: 'I've become more of a woman'

It's only been four months since Miranda Kerr welcomed her son Flynn into the world, but the model mum has already hit the catwalk.

So what does she think of her body after baby? The Victoria's Secret model has revealed that her pregnancy has helped her to feel like "more of a woman".

"My hips are wider and my boobs are obviously bigger. I feel like I've become more of a woman now, and I'm really embracing those curves," she told People magazine.

The 28-year-old, who is married to Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom, hit the runway recently for the first time in more than five months and has confessed she was a "little nervous" to get back into it.

"I hadn't been in high heels for a while. It was probably a good five months since I'd worn heels, but it was kind of like riding a bicycle," she said.

And although she is embracing her new body and loving being back on the runway, it's clear Miranda's number-one priority is playing mum.

"When I see him smile it brightens my whole world," she said.

"It's so rewarding to watch him smile and laugh. It just makes everything better. When I see him smile it makes me realise just how lucky I am."

Miranda is currently promoting Victoria's Secret's "What is Sexy?" list and is set to return home to Australia in July to head up the launch of the latest collection from David Jones.

What an incredibly insensitive thing to say that having a child has made Miranda Kerr feel "more of a woman"...does that mean Miranda thinks that women who are unable to bare children are "less of a woman".......even though she was referring to her womanly curves it makes it no less hurtful to all of those women who are unable to have children. Think before you speak Miranda, but I guess intelligent thinking and speaking isn't a prerequisite in your line of work....so you haven't had much practice.
She's not saying you have to have a child to be more of a woman, that is how she personally felt. Funnily enough women were made to bear children. As for the article good on her. I like Miranda Kerr for her promotion of a healthy and organic lifestyle and also to be at peace with yourself and the world. If becoming a mum fulfilled some kind of void she had, good on her. It seems to have been filled with happiness and love.
Well the word "Woman" relates to the word "womb" because women have one for carrying babies. So I do think that a woman is "more of a woman" for having had a baby. You should maintain your own self esteem based on your own opinions and not feel beholden to those of others. Miranda seemed to be referring to her enhanced curves anyway...
Why do women feel that they need to have a child to "become more of a woman". Just because one has not had children does not mean they are any less of a woman. Please be respectful of all women and stop making such sexist claims!!!
