Oprah's amazing Aussie diet!
"I had to make peace to move forward and look at the fear that keeps showing up as fat. My goal isn’t to be thin."

She’s battled her weight for years but now she’s finally ready to tell Australia about the only diet she swears by.

For more than 20 years, Oprah Winfrey has endured a very public battle with her weight, going from skinny to curvy and back again in the space of a few short months.

“In 1988 I starved myself to fit into a pair of jeans,” she says in the latest issue of O magazine, “then walked on to the set of my show hauling a wagon loaded down with 67 pounds (about 30kg] of fat. I wanted to make clear just how much weight I’d lost. As time passed, though, the fat came back. By 1992 I was in the heart of the struggle to gain control of my body.”

That struggle lasted more than a decade, but over the past two years the talk-show host has made peace with her body.

“I’m no longer battling my weight,” Oprah, 56, says. “I had to make peace to move forward and look at the fear that keeps showing up as fat. My goal isn’t to be thin. My goal is for my body to be the weight it can hold – to be strong and healthy and fit, to be itself. My goal is to learn to embrace this body and to be grateful every day for what it has given me.”

Now that Oprah has hit Australian shores, she’s about to reveal exactly how she learned to maintain a healthy weight and finally love her body. During one of her shows at the Sydney Opera House, she will talk about the book she believes has finally helped her deal with her weight-loss demons. A Course In Weight Loss by Marianne Williamson (Hay House, $19.95) is, she believes, “the miracle we’ve been waiting for”.

This one is just another warm and fuzzy feely type. We will see if it works. I agree with sus. It's about the food you eat which makes you fat. Trouble is she never looks at it that way. Like everyone else they blame their weight gain on their troubles and problems. Makes it so easy to do that 'cos we all like to blame someone or something else for our failures.
Not another book! Not another diet! She's bigger than ever, so how and when did she find this "amazing" diet?
