Suri Cruise's temper tantrum

Older sister Isabella steps in as Suri shows who’s really the boss in the Cruise family.

Both her parents have described her as “determined” and “strong-willed”, and as our photographs show, little Suri Cruise certainly has a mind of her own.

In a scene familiar to mothers around the world, four-year-old Suri threw a whopper of a tantrum on an outing with her mum Katie Holmes and sister Isabella in Toronto last week, digging her heels in, stamping her feet and pulling away from Katie.

It was big sis Isabella who finally calmed down little Suri on the girls’ shopping trip, offering the pouting preschooler her favourite security blanket, while an embarrassed Katie, 31, watched on.

The daughter of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, Isabella has in recent years grown much closer to stepmum Katie, who is in Canada filming the miniseries The Kennedys.

The 17-year-old receives scant media attention compared to her baby sister, who is fast developing a reputation for getting what she wants when she wants it – and dropping her famous bottom lip when she doesn’t.

yeah, just shows who the boss of the house really is, and that would be a freakon 4 year old. but them being rich doesn't make them any different than most families with toddlers today, in that a lot of kids are just flat out spoiled brats. yeah but our parents never put up with that "normal toddler behavior" so apparently it's something more, like an undisciplined spoiled brat problem. and also an ignorance problem on the parents' part.
To pancer. I bow to your superior parenting skills. Nobody is saying that anyone has perfect children but there is a difference between raising a spoiled brat to a normal child. Obviously I grew up damanged because I used to get a smack occasionally and my children will need to be in therapy forever. Just look at the problems we have with every new generation and then tell me that previous generations did a worse job of parenting.
Once again,Citizen,I am glad to see that perfect parents like you still exist with their perfect children who never throw tantrums!At this age kids are learning their boundaries & will try to push them when they can.I'm not condoning spoilt or undisciplined children (there's nothing worse!)-I'm sayign we should not judge parents by video vision.Ive never seen her chuck a tantrum before & I think that the amount of judgemental criticism given to mothers these days who are only trying to do their best is unnecessary & unfair.We cannot all be perfect parents with the perfect techniques to raise the perfect children from birth to adulthood!We are only human too!I know that my child has been raised with boundaries & is generally very well behaved,but there are still times when he tries to test me & usually he tries it when we are in public!It also concerns me that people 'discipline' their children with violence ie smacking-you wouldn't hit an adult who didn't behave themselves, would you?

To Prancer, the reason we have or had good children is because we disciplined them. it did not happen by accident. This behaviour is only normal when children don't get guidence and discipline so you see it is NOT normal, unless you think it's normal for parents to slack off in this department. Nobody likes spoiled brats and you are not doing your children any favours by making them that. What next for Suri? Become a bully?
Honestly people all I can see is a spoilt little brat who gets her own way far to much.....her parents should start saying NO and not giving her anything and everything...the way she is going by the time she hits her teens there won't be anything that she hasn't had,said or did and she will have no life nothing to look forward to .......There has to come a time when you say enough is enough.....money nor religious beliefs will bring her happiness if she does not appreciate her life. Any yes Zooey she probably will end being a drugged up little teen getting into trouble at the drop of a hat.....look at Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan to name a couple......wake up to yourselves Tom and Katie be a Parent and show your child some disicpline!!!!!!!
she is four years old for goodness sake obviously she lacks disipline and it is not suri's fault,the blame falls back on the parents whom both lack parenting skills it is so sad to see this a poor little girl who lacks in disipline and respect she has all that she wants but what she needs is love,guidance and tough love and a smack on the bottom would not go astay either they are doing this girl injustice and its not the right way to bring her up,just wait till she gets older as this is not how the real world is and you dont always get what you want it will haunt the parents big time and so it should perhaps they need to grow up too
Gee...what a shock...she carries on like any other 2 or 3 year old does occassionally. To all those perfect mothers out there that will no doubt comment on this, think yourselves lucky that you do have perfect children that don't rebel, or throw tantrums rather than picking on this normal toddler behaviour.
this little girl has been ruined by non other than her parents if they continue this stupidity she will be nothing but a drugged up little teen she will blame everything on her parents . we see this so many times they have no real friends because they socially expect everyone to fall to their liking . im afraid that they need to say NO and end it there and not follow her directions in anything yes she maybe good at fashion but honestly what parent lets their 4 yr old decide things for them? mb they should listen to ppl more and follow advice from parents who spoilt their kids so rotten that now they relise they shouldn't have done so. look at her sister is she spoilt? no neather is her brother *shakes head * so sad to see this happen to her
