Rove and Tasma: Our Hollywood home!
The Aussie couple put down roots in a $1.2 million mansion in LA as they start their new life - and a family.

Perched on a rugged hillside in an isolated canyon outside LA, Rove McManus and Tasma Walton’s luxurious new home is the perfect base for the Aussie couple as they prepare to take on Hollywood – and start a much-longed-for family.

Although Rove has already made some inroads with a string of appearances on US TV, the couple have been most consumed with nest building of late, as they settle into their new home.

With no neighbours in sight, and surrounded by trees on every side, the house is the perfect setting for the nature loving couple, who regularly visit a nearby garden centre to pick up landscaping supplies – including a hummingbird feeder. Renowned for their love of animals, Tasma and Rove are self-confessed obsessive bird-watchers.

“It’s important because the world is so frenetic,” Tasma says. “I love bushwalking, and Rove’s a twitcher, so I’ve started enjoying bird-spotting, too.”

Tasma has even admitted Rove had a rather novel trick up his sleeve when he was romancing her. It seems she was won over by a bird dance he performed for her.

“That is why I fell in love with this man,” she has said.

With plenty of room for children in their new house, the couple won’t need to upgrade their lodgings any time soon.

“More and more, the idea of having a child appeals,” says Tasma, who married Rove in a secret Broome ceremony last June. “And it hasn’t always been that way.”

It’s unclear whether career or family developments were up for discussion when the pair made an excursion to a local psychic bookshop where readings take place.

After an extended visit, they emerged smiling. While Rove has remained tight-lipped about his next career move, he has chatted with top-rating talk-show host Chelsea Handler about the possibility of landing a more permanent US gig.

So sorry Rove is moving to USA. Love his show and SO miss it. He's a great guy,but I hope he comes back to australia very soon
I hope this gets to Rove in some way and that is thank you and your crew for your wonderful talent and bringing to life Melbourne, and an amazing show for the rest of Australia, i was born in Melbourne moved away to the north, thats QLD North (it always reminds of hey hey saturday with Jacki going on air and saying "folks are dump where i come from" ) i own a couple of radio Stations nothing much, but i know what's its like to create something for people to enjoy, i cant beleive people can say on one hand they love the rove then get yukky people with comments that just dont appreciate what they have......Yes i am a little upset with the comments i just read on this forum, i hope people understand that it is this mentality that make people want to be somewhere else.... i hope where ever you are that not all morans think this way, there are plenty more that just dont...he he...i sincerely wish you a life of what you want...whatever it is....and Thank you for making me laugh..
As an Aussie living in LA I just wanted to clear a couple of things up. A US$1.2 house in the Hills is a mansion. The US economy is not doing too well and housing prices are no where near as inflated as they are in OZ. For their money Tasma & Rove would have got a nice mansion. Good time to buy! I can't believe how horrible some of you people are and so I'm grateful I no longer live in a country where success is seen as a negative. Whether you think TV is better in Australia or not one thing you can be sure of is you'll make a heap more cash over here - and buy a better home for you money!!!
In L.A. a $1.2 mill. house isn't classified as a mansion. Never liked him, never watched his show. Hasn't it been reported he couldn't break into American market? So what's now?
Why is everybody hating on Rove? Australian's just love to tear their fellow Aussies down, Is it jealousy or just ignorance? I lost the "love of my life" to cancer 3 years ago. I will never stop loving him and no one will ever replace him. I do however have to move on and life out the rest of my life. I met and married an absolutely gorgeous man and I love him too. People get married and profess their love from the roof tops only to divorce and marry someone else, no body ever says they never loved their first partner. Love his show, hate his show, your entitled to your opinion but it was successful and he really is a nice guy. We should be proud to call him one of us and wish him luck.
I can not uderstand why Australian actors and performers are not content with living in Australia. I think the shows we make in Australia are great and that the shows made in America are second rate to ours. I prefer to watch Australian and English shows over American shows but slowly our shows are being eroded away by people moving overseas all the time. Its as if Australia does not matter and we are a second rated country when it comes to films music sports people and television. I know they can earn more money over there but is that all that matters to them what about their loyalty to their Australian audience. Talk about buy Australian made we cannot keep people here to make Australian made. Keep going Australian film music and television industry you are the best.
THE LATE SHOW WITH ROVE McMANUS ????
Never did like your show, but know others did. What I can't understand is why you are news. You lost your wife and said she was your soul mate n love of ur life. Then u throw your wedding ring away n in record speed get involved with someone else. Best of luck but glad you are not my hubbie and you maybe better off over there.
Good luck Rove, your show had no competition & 'borrowed' from everywhere - there was nothing truely original on it except that you swore with stars & they were amazed what you would say on Aussie TV. You were relevant for a while, although should have stopped years earlier. Maybe karma will be kind to you & yours? Let's hope you treat those you meet (or not) the same way you would like others to treat your 'baby' hmmmm.
