Schapelle's new hell:
Schapelle's new hell: "This could kill her"
There are new fears for her life with a top secret plan to transfer her from her Bali jail to a remote prison in Java, reports Corby biographer Kathryn Bonella.

The nightmare Schapelle Corby has been fearing for the past five years is now a reality, as a secret document outlining her transfer to a new faraway prison has been leaked exclusively to Woman’s Day.

The document, from the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights, confirms Schapelle’s worst fears that she will be taken away from her lifeline of family and friends and forced to move to a remote East Javanese jail.

“Hereby ordering the Head of Kerobokan Detention Centre, Denpasar, Bali, to carry out the transfer of the convict in the name of Sceppele (sic) Corby … to be transferred to Women’s Detention Centre in Malang, East Java. The order becomes effective from the date the transfer is signed.”

For the full story, including Mercedes Corby's exclusive interview with Woman's Day and the impact this move will have on Schapelle's unstable state, see this week's Woman's Day, on sale April 1, 2010.

We're not the judges here..what the hell's wrong with you Kevin Rudd? Make a name for yourself, grow some balls, and bring this person home. Foreign inmates in Australian Prisons have committed more henious crimes than Schapelle ever did! They have a 'great life' inside..then when they're released, you and your bloody government accept there applications to become Australian Citizens..that just SUCKS big time. I hate any drug at the best of times, there were too many discrepancies during Schapelle's trial..get it right, make it right..and give her back her health..
Schapelle is seriously mentally ill and needs to come home now. I have seen her insanity for myself. She is not faking it. Being moved to Malang Prison, which she has longed feared, could well tip her over the edge to suicide. Having known Schapelle for 25 years I know she is innocent, without a doubt, despite her conviction in Bali, by a panel of Judges who had NEVER acquitted anyone in their entire careers. Furthermore, her sentence is grossly excessive, far in excess of the sentences handed down for other, and worse, drugs crimes in Indonesia, not to mention murder and rape. Schapelle needs her countrymen to help her, not kick her while she is down. All those happy to let her rot need to take a serious look at themselves. They have lost their empathy and their humanity - a sad indictment of Australian society in the 21st century. I'm sure these people would think differently if she were their daughter, sister or best friend.
You all seem to forget that the sentence remains anyway. It is where she does the time that is the issue. Personally I say leave her where she is.
How "top secret" is something if Woman's Day can get hold of it???
That poor girl hasn,t she been througth enough BRING HER HOME MR RUUD HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF IT WAS ONE OF YOUR CHILDREN ,I THINK YOU WOULD DO ALL WITHIN YOUR POWER TO BRING ONE OF YOUR,S HOME WOULDN,T YOU
Shame on all of you less intelligent people who truly believe that she brought drugs from auz to Bali!! May karma strike you down one day to teach you a lesson or two in life.
If you think about the Aussie exchange rate at the time, the testimony regarding the baggage handlers, and the fact pot is smuggled from South Australia to the Eastern states with regularity, it is a simple conclusion that Schappelle is innocent. Nobody is going to risk life in prison, let alone death to LOSE heaps of money on a drug deal, moving pot to a country where it is a lot cheaper.
Everywhere you go in Indonesia and Malaysia there are signs warning you of what will happen if you traffic drugs. All Australians should learn to respect the Laws of the countries they visit. Corby is guilty and should do her time and suck it up. She was never an innocent, just stupid and arrogant to think herself above the law. Her whole family have behaved in an appalling manner.
Indonesia is backward. To gaol the Bali bombing terrorists for 30 months while Shapelle gets 20 years is beyond words. Their primitive way of thinking is disgraceful. No forensic testing. Allowing people in court to touch the evidence. Guilty until proven innocent. It's all so filthy regardless of whether Shapelle is innocent or guilty. Sure, one should obey the laws of the foreign country but lets be honest here - Indonesians are barbaric. This is the danger with multiculturalism.
This is a shocking decision given Schapelle's current mental state. She seems to be constantly singled out for cruel and unusual punishment. I can't help but wonder if it's because of all the publicity and interviews. Regardless, I believe there was too much "reasonable doubt" in the case and she has gone through too much. Oh, and I had to laugh at the comment about Schapelle giving baggage handlers a bad reputation. Didn't you know they were found to be moving drugs anyway?
