Oprah - just five years to live

The star is devastated after doctors tell how years of stress and yo-yo dieting have taken a deadly toll.

According to Dr David Demko, a leading expert on ageing and life expectancy, Oprah is unlikely to live to see her 60th birthday unless she takes steps to counteract negative factors in her life, including stress, personal problems and diet.

"Based on her current lifestyle and genetic risk factors, Oprah can only expect to live until she's 58 or 59," Dr Demko tells.

This shock diagnosis confirms fears long-held by those close to Oprah, that she's far from the happy, healthy person she projects.

According to Dr Demko, there are a number of negative and positive factors that influence how long we live. While Oprah gains years for her charity work and spirituality, he says there are a many areas she needs to address.

Overwhelmingly, Dr Demko says, Oprah needs to slow down and bring more happiness into her life. And her worried colleagues are telling her the same thing...

i think oprah is an very unhappy women no matter how rich she is i think shes dealing with alot of pain she really needs to deal with it just cames to show money isnt all that

Those who say Oprah has all the resources needed to maintain weight loss and a healthy lifestyle have no deep understanding of emotional weight issues. I suspect they themselves do not have overweight problems. You don't need any of those material things to lose weight, you need to resolve issues in your life and having a psychologist may not be the answer either. In my opinion Doctor Demko is grandstanding for his own gain, I don't know who he is but I doubt he is Oprah's own doctor.

She spends most days on tv telling everyone how she really has it all together, yeh right.

Dear Oprah I rethink to send U one more message. If you employ me as your kook U will change your looks. you will never be hungary but will not gain whait. I will make U loughing most of time and work will be enjoyable, but I am alergick to dogs and that I see not posible to leave in your house. I am over 80 vegetarian I leave in the bush and short of money though I am not hungary ever. send me a note I my able to show you what liffe meant because YOU are so nice to so many peole, But not to you self. All the doctors are not gods, do not take notice of that one what it told you, since You know all the does and don'ts We LOVE YOU GIRL turn 360 degree on your time and life for longevity

Hope you stick around a long long time - sure she will have a break when she feels like it. Who are we to tell her - she has done much much much more than we have in our lives and life time and often for our benefit. Thank you Oprah

I honestly think Oprah should get a Nobel Peace Prize for all the good work and important matters she has brought to our attention - and def has made the world a better place. I hope she lives a long long time. Thanks Oprah and good on you - cheers

love ya oprah, i think no one can predict when we will die, so don't listen to this nonsense, you are an angel, and i hope and pray that you will be around for a long time, to continue your great work on this planet. one day i will come to the usa and come to your show, you light up my life, with your goodness and generosity

1st i must say..only God can decide when it is the person's time..and only God is good...God working thru oprah and thank God she has let God have His way in doing so she has been able to bless many..so what ever is Gods WILL for her life..may angels watch over all blessings!

No matter who we are we are going to have some level of stress in our lives. People who don't have money stress over money and other things in their life they need money for such as me, I retired two years ago, I'm 51, and my teeth are rotting because of medication and I don't have money to do anything anything about it. Talk distressed! Oprah has more money than anyone and bless her heart has a ton of stress and problems to deal with. That's just the way of it.

A Doctor once told my Aunty she had only one week to live........hello ..nine years later she's still up and about,healthier than ever and well into her eighties. Oprah can take care of herself.
