Her meteoric rise has seen Karise’s confidence grow in leaps and bounds

She’s the artist the whole country tunes into The Voice to watch. With a number one single on the iTunes chart and overwhelming support in the media and online, Karise Eden is a crowd favourite.

But the shy 19-year-old is still struggling to come to terms with her newfound popularity.

“I dunno, it’s a bit different I guess, you walk down the street and people recognise you,” she says in her signature understated way. “It’s a bit exciting.”

After blowing the coaches away in blind auditions, she’s continued to induce goose bumps with every performance. “You blow my mind, you got more soul than a sneaker shop!” Joel Madden says.

But behind the stunning voice is a fragility so genuine it’s unnerving. “She has this thing she does every time she sings, and she brings me to tears,” says her coach Seal.

I don't care what song she sings, we already know she has the most unique, beautiful and powerful voice on the show. She's definitely going places and she has a HUGE chance of winning!
At first I thought Seal had chosen something too subdued for Karise in Landslide last week, and the poor quality of the sound certainly didn't help. She was nervous, too. But if you listen to the downloadable version, where the sound is much better and Karise puts in a better vocal, it is stunning. On reflection, even though it wasn't a big and showy song to choose, it was a beautiful choice - just listen to the subtlety and the quality of Karise's softer singing. Wonderfully warm and nuanced. I think Seal is smart to not just go for the obvious, big, raw and wild vocal and to get Karise to show the complexities of her voice. I love her big voice, but it would be too much to hear only that.
Was quite amazed by Seal's choice of song for Kerise last session. This girl has raw talent and it has to be let out and heard, not restrained or muffled! Let her come out so that she is heard in full volume and strength, not in any mumbled, suppressed representation. Landslide was not a good choice, and we want to hear all she has to offer. She only has this chance - don't ruin it for her.
She is a knockout! But let's keep demanding that Seal or whoever "mentors" her chooses songs that release, rather than repress, her style and expression! "Landslide" did nothing for her, even though of course her raw talent was there. They can make or break her, so insist that we get to keep hearing her as we did at her audition. I think she should choose herself what is best for her, not someone else with set ideas of what she "should" be like!
While there are many talented singers on The Voice, Karise is The One. Her voice is umistakable and absolutely amazing. I hope she can overcome the difficulties of her past and enjoy what I hope will be an amazing career and a life that brings her the joy she deserves. GO you beautiful girl!!!!
Karise has a wonderful voice, but I feel that Seal, in trying to tap her sensitivity, is unwittingly taming it. Unleash the beast!
I never thought I would actually become emotionally involved with a reality tv show. But that's what you've done to me Karise. Sending you all the good vibes, wishes and prayers that you find everything you dream of.
The beautiful Karise is what "The Voice"is all about, this lovely shy girl is THE VOICE in my opinion,she deserves to go far.I wish her only good things and hope she goes far,this girl is a rare find.
Keep on keeping on, and I hope and pray that she goes on building her strength and belief in herself. She has some great mentors and I believe she will always be humble too.
To me, Karise is the very heart and soul of what The Voice is about. She is amazing. Some of the others are 'known' in the industry and have had other opportunities, she has not. She is a raw and exciting talent and I will vote for her at every opportunity as I think she deserves to win. GO GIRL!!
