Holly Madison: 'Hef was too old for IVF'

Holly Madison, former 'number 1' girlfriend of Hugh Hefner has told In Touch magazine that not being able to have children with Hef was the main reason she left.

"I wanted to have kids," says Holly. "When that wasn't possible, I realized that I had to be honest with Hef and break it off...

"We tried for me to get pregnant by in vitro fertilization, because it wasn't going to happen the old-fashioned way."

The 28-year-old was featured on the Playboy Mansion reality show The Girls Next Door, alongside Hef's other live-in girlfriends Bridget Marquardt, 35, and Kendra Wilkinson, 23. While Holly says she "devoted 100 percent" of herself to the professional hedonist, she never quite got into the swing of his famed lifestyle.

"I'm not really into polygamy," she says. "That was never my thing. I think that's why I was looking to either have a kid or leave."

But the age difference between Holly and 82-year-old Hef proved to be the ultimate obstacle for the pair.

"When the IVF didn't work out after months of giving myself injections every day and feeling horrible, the clinic informed me it wasn't possible because he was too old," she says.

"Since we couldn't start a family I knew it wouldn't work," says Holly, who became depressed after the IVF failed.

Hef has dealt with the split by enlisting two new live-in girlfriends to join Bridget and Kendra — 19-year-old twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon.

And for her part, Holly is moving on as well.

"I would never be with a man who's that much older than me ever again."

Haha its funny how angry people get over people "judging" other people, firstly why are you reading gossip mags if you disaprve of the judgement of others? Secondly its clear that no woman would be in a reltionship with THAT kind of man while there were other women on the scene, except of course the money and lifestyle.. I would certainly do it for the lifestyle, but definitely not for love.. Gross..

Really i think its pathetic that you all spend so much time and energy on judging other peoples lives,and telling them how they should be living,when you arent all perfect. Maybe you should go get a life and stop trying to live in other peoples??

First thing who cares about age if they are happy with who they are with good on them for finding happiness in this life, second if holly wants children then i hope she has some and although it might be hard in thiss day and age sum ppl are lucky just to b able to have them so b4 u go sayin u shouldnt have kids maybe try bein in someones shoes that cant have any and see how u feel when the one thing u want u arent able to have get over yourselves and get a life who cares whos with who as long as they are happy is it any of your business in the first place, third as to the money hef has good one him for making that money with his hard work better than being a bludger and sittin on his *** all his life and for those that think he should give it to charity maybe u should work harder so u can give ur money to charity and stop complaining about what other ppl do with theirs.

As a 19 year old girl I would never even think about having sexual relations with an 80 year old man no matter how much money he has or anything. It's too gross even thinking about it. Those twins are probably just with him to get themselves ahead in life but seriously there are other ways than to sleep with an old man! Clearly they don't have much sense at all.

Whats so wrong with what Hef's doing? He loves girls, loves to party and I think i speak for all men WORLDWIDE when I say I would love to walk in the shoes of the great Hef for one day!! Those who say he is greedy with his money PROBABLY DONT HAVE ANY!! He donates to charities worldwide! Too many haters!

Hef is past it, lets get real! He is only giving an illusion he has girlfriends. He has had his day and should settle down with someone more his own age! The twins are *** girls and give their parents great greif for sure. Lets hope they get over it quickly, make lotsamoney, and get a life.

A 19, 29 or even 39 year old woman walking down the street, living with and sleeping with an 80 year old man would be seen as totally gross and disgusting if it was anyone else. Just because he's got money and is famous it becomes acceptable....pretty dumb, after all, he's stilll just an 80 year old man. Who wants to be with someone the age of your grandfather or great grandfather. Kids at that age??? He might die the next year.
