Bon Jovi guitarist
Richie Sambora was arrested for driving under the influence last Tuesday night in Laguna Beach, California.
TMZ first reported that the 48-year-old was pulled over after his erratic driving was spotted by police. He subsequently failed sobriety tests.
"The officer formed the opinion that Mr. Sambora had been operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol," Sergeant Jason Kravetz tells
Us Magazine.
And apparently Richie wasn't alone in the vehicle.
"There were three females in the car, two of them were juveniles," says Kravetz.
Potentially, Sambora could face charges for endangering the two children. And, hitting closer to home for Richie's ex, actress
Heather Locklear, a law enforcement official has told
Us Magazine that 10-year-old daughter
Ava was one of these two minors.
Richie reportedly had two stints in rehab for alcoholism last year.
