Turkey chilli for $8.50

INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
500g turkey mince
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons ground cumin
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 teaspoons hot chilli sauce
1 green chilli, chopped
420g can cannellini beans, drained, rinsed
½ cup fresh coriander leaves
sour cream, corn chips, grated tasty cheese, rice, lime wedges, to serve
METHOD
- Heat oil in medium saucepan on high. Saute onion and garlic for 1-2 minutes, until onion is tender.
- Add mince and spices. Brown well for 4-5 minutes, breaking up lumps with the back of a wooden spoon as it cooks.
- Stir in tomato, chilli sauce and chilli. Reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring, for 10 minutes.
- Mix in cannellini beans and cook, stirring, for a further 5 minutes. Stir in coriander and season to taste. Top with sour cream, corn chips and grated cheese. Serve with rice and a wedge of lime.
